            About Clare Alden

Clare Alden is an educator, visual artist, writer, and mother who makes her home in the northeastern United States.  With a Master’s Degree and decades of experience in community education and advocacy, she is a committed feminist who believes in the power of education to fuel personal and social change and to advance the lives of girls and women.

She hopes her writing will do the same for you and your loved ones.

Testimonials

If you have ever had a feeling that you, or someone you care about, might be in a relationship that is emotionally, or physically, hurtful, your will want to read work by Clare Alden.  She has researched domestic abuse, lived it personally, and now writes about it movingly using an approachable style that draws from her life experiences.

Clare’s work is supported by sound science and solid strategies. More importantly, Ms. Alden infuses her work with heart and soul. You may wonder how anyone can find the strength and develop the skills to overcome such an immobilizing form of oppression, but in reading her personal story you will know that you are not alone and that anyone can find their voice and take steps toward regaining control over their life.

Clare Alden provides a real service by identifying many of the false paths that lead you away from your true self and your rightful journey. In doing so, she raises the matters of personal boundaries, social support, and an intrinsic sense of identity to their proper place at the forefront of your thinking.
